Everybody’s “pumpkin crazy” before October even hits. This is the time for Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte temptation. You can’t even help yourself. That spicy smell. The sweet flavour. I’m as guilty as anyone. I LOVE the ol’ Pumpkin Spice Latte. Did you know it has it’s OWN FACEBOOK PAGE?? Now let me tell you what you’re getting into when you finally indulge. (Mmmmm)

A Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte contains:

  • 50 grams sugar
  • LOADS of fat – about 400 grams (and not from healthy cows)
  • a huge caffeine buzz
  • artificial flavouring

I love the idea of a healthy pumpkin spice latte. So I had to go about making a hippy version that I feel really good about. And you can do it, too. It’s easy. And yummy. There may not be whipped cream and the super convenience of drive-thru. But you can do THIS version guilt-free every day. And cater it to your needs. Find the Printable Recipe BELOW. xo

Instructions

  • 1. Place ingredients, with half the spice, in a blender and blend on high speed, until combined and frothy.
  • 2. Alternatively - steam milk. Combine remaining ingredients and add steamed milk. Sprinkle with remaining spices.
  • 3. ** Want to make this kid-friendly? It's delicious WITHOUT the espresso, too.
  • 4. If you are really missing your whipping cream...try whipping coconut cream instead. Add that to the top, sprinkle some spice over it, and YUM.
